I first discovered my love for art in my freshman year of high school. However, it wasn’t until my junior year that I decided to make a career out of it. This decision was inspired by my art instructor, whom I looked up to greatly. It was he who told me that I could have a bright future ahead of me in art. As a result, I did some research and found Graphic Design, a field where I could use my skill with color, shape and form to help people and to get a message across to a wide audience.

Once I decided to go with Graphic Design, I began my search for a school. I eventually found The Art Institute of Dallas. After a tour around the school and an interview with some of the instructors, I decided that this was the place for me. I studied hard and held a job during the majority of my schooling. At The Art Institute, I truly flourished. I was no longer the shy quiet person who always sits at the back of the class. I had found what I was meant to do.
